Supported Employment Specialist

As a Supported Employment Quality Framework Specialist in North Powys, you will deliver personalised support through the Connect to Work Mid Wales programme. You will help people with disabilities, neurodivergence, health conditions and other complex barriers identify their strengths and secure meaningful paid employment. Working with participants, employers and partner services, you will provide job coaching, support workplace adjustments and offer ongoing in-work support across rural communities.

• - Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with participants, employers and partners.
• - A person-centred, strengths-based and non-judgemental approach.
• - Strong organisation skills to manage a varied caseload and maintain accurate records.
• - Confidence in providing practical job coaching and supporting workplace adjustments.
• - Resilience, flexibility and the ability to work independently across rural North Powys communities.

• - Manage a caseload of participants supported through Connect to Work Mid Wales.
• - Develop vocational profiles and personalised employment action plans based on each participant's strengths and aspirations.
• - Provide practical job coaching using structured approaches, including task analysis and systematic instruction.
• - Engage employers to identify suitable roles, job-carving opportunities and inclusive recruitment solutions.
• - Support applications, interviews, workplace adjustments and the transition into paid employment.
• - Provide ongoing in-work support to help participants and employers sustain successful employment.
