Software Engineer III

This role is responsible to build resilient and scalable systems in a hybrid cloud environment. This person will be a part of a high performant development team and will partner with various other technical groups to design, plan, and implement software solutions that help achieve various consumer‑facing development goals. Given strategic objectives, this role will independently deliver solutions that adhere to industry best practices and company standards.

As a Full Stack Engineer, you should be comfortable with developing front‑end and/or back‑end applications using different languages and development frameworks.

Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in‑person days in our Chicago office and 2 remote days. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.

• Design front‑end and server‑side solutions
• Write APIs for our consumer‑facing flows, whether for web or mobile
• Develop automation testing suties to ensure correctness of the software and maintainability
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
• Write technical documentation
• Work with implementation teams to automate and ensure standard methodologies on infrastructure deployments
• Deliver solutions and systems: consistent, optimized, resilient, documented, secure

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
• 6+ years of experience building software solutions
• Knowledgeable and experienced in multiple back‑end languages (e.g, Kotlin, Java, Spring Boot) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g Vue.js, React, Node.js, Nuxt.js)

• Experience and deep understanding of software design patterns
• Experience with CI/CD and deep understanding of deployment processes
• Experience with public clouds e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure preferred

• Experience with Cart/Checkout, and payment systems is a plus
• Ability to grasp concepts quickly and implement learning fast

Salary Range: $122,560 - $187,560

Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on their unique qualifications and experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Final compensation decisions will be made in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
