We are seeking a talented .NET Software Engineer with strong Azure experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in .NET development and hands-on experience with Azure services such as Azure Service Bus, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure AI Search, and more.

Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform is mandatory. In addition to technical expertise, we value individuals who are passionate about software development, communicate effectively, and are committed to delivering high-quality, scalable solutions in a cloud-first environment.

The goal of the customer’s company has always been clear: to provide high-quality, trusted broking services to the oil trading community, with a personal touch. The company is building a comprehensive brokerage offering that can support products across the barrel and across all geographies. Our team is helping to develop solutions that will enable traders to manage their trading more efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement highly scalable and resilient backend services using C# and the .NET
  • Implement solutions utilizing core Azure services, with a strong focus on Azure Service Bus, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure AI Search
  • Implement Dev Ops practices, with a mandatory strong emphasis on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform. This includes designing, writing, and maintaining Terraform configurations for Azure resources
  • Work with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure Dev Ops Pipelines, Git Hub Actions) to automate build, test, and deployment processes
  • Utilize Redis for caching, session management, or other high-performance data storage needs to enhance application responsiveness
  • Collaborate with architects, other engineers, and client stakeholders to define technical requirements and translate them into robust solutions
  • Ensure the security, performance, and scalability of applications and infrastructure
  • Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to best practices and architectural decisions
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across the application and infrastructure stack
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in .NET, Azure, and Dev Ops
Requirements

Required skills & qualifications:

  • 3+ years' experience in commercial development.
  • Extensive experience with C# and the .NET (ideally .NET 6+)
  • Mandatory strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, specifically:
    • Azure Service Bus
    • Azure Blob Storage
    • Azure Cosmos DB
    • Azure AI Search (formerly Azure Cognitive Search)
  • Mandatory strong experience with Dev Ops practices, particularly Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
  • Proven experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub Actions)
  • Solid experience with Redis for caching or other relevant use cases
  • Proficiency with non-relational databases (e.g., Cosmos DB, Mongo

    DB)
  • Strong understanding of architectural patterns (e.g., microservices, event-driven architecture)
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a highly collaborative team
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
Nice to have:
  • Familiarity with other Azure services like Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Key Vault, Azure Monitor
  • Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-204:
    Developing Solutions for Microsoft Azure, AZ-400: Designing and Implementing Microsoft Dev Ops Solutions)
  • Experience with testing frameworks (unit, integration, end-to-end)
