FRONT END UI DEVELOPER

A global consumer organization is seeking an experienced Front End UI Developer to join their established team. As the Front End UI Developer you will work within the eCommerce team to implement customer-facing solutions using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to improve the online shopping experience. This position requires strong proficiency in UI development as well as close collaboration and communication with Design / UX and product management business stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement solutions using HTML, CSS, and Java script as your tools
  • Work with Brand Teams, Product teams, QA, Analytics and stakeholders to understand and communicate progress
  • Conceive and build responsive and adaptive solutions for website applications
  • Work on an Agile team to estimate, develop, test, deploy, and maintain, while collaborating with team members on the eCommerce roadmap, sprint planning, execution, review, and retrospective
  • Participate in technical design meetings with other developers and assist in defining the front end web architecture, contribute to code reviews, and implement unit testing
  • Adhere to pattern-libraries, style guides, site documentation, SDLC
  • Coordinate with the front-end development team to ensure adherence to best practices
  • Optimize website speed / performance and enhance SEO
Requirements
  • 2 - 5 years of Front End UI development experience
  • Experience working with a JavaScript framework (e.g. React

    JS, Angular

    JS, Node.js) along with working with CSS preprocessors such as Sass or LESS
  • Demonstrated ability building websites using HTML/CSS/Java script for 2 years in a professional setting
  • Knowledge of CSS and Java script coding best practices
  • Ability to build responsive, cross-browser, highly-performant web applications
  • Experience using built-in browser tools like Chrome Developer Tools
  • Ability to communicate effectively with business owners, product managers, designers and QA
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design, or Visual Communication desired or relatable experience
  • Strong communication skills required
