Our Pay Pal, Venmo, and Xoom products also make it safer and simpler for friends and family to transfer funds to each other.

We offer merchants an end‑to‑end payments solution that provides authorization and settlement capabilities, as well as instant access to funds and payouts. We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross‑border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross‑border trade.

As part of Pay Pal's Braintree Web SDK team, we are looking for a talented and motivated engineer to contribute to delivering innovative and scalable solutions in the payments ecosystem. Your expertise will be key in creating exceptional developer experiences, driving technical excellence, and supporting merchants worldwide in accepting payments seamlessly on their apps and websites.

• Delivers complete solutions spanning all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) (design, implementation, testing, delivery and operations), based on definitions from more senior roles.
• Advises immediate management on project‑level issues.
• Guides junior engineers.
• Operates with little day‑to‑day supervision, making technical decisions based on knowledge of internal conventions and industry best practices.
• Applies knowledge of technical best practices in making decisions.

• 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR any equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Collaborate within a high‑performing team of 7–9 experienced U.S.
  
  -based engineers.
• Deliver high‑quality, scalable solutions while engaging closely with external developer communities.
• Set clear goals, define project requirements, and manage priorities alongside cross‑functional teams.
• Implement best practices, promote technical standards, and continually enhance the SDK developer experience.
• Lead the development of cutting‑edge payment features and support the evolution of our developer tools.
• Be an advocate for developers, working to understand their needs and provide innovative solutions through tutorials, blogs, and public speaking opportunities.
• Contribute directly to reinventing online payments and building tools that set the standard in e‑commerce innovation.
