We are looking for talented Backend Engineers to join a dynamic modernization program. This role involves supporting large-scale modernization efforts, migrating portfolios between systems, building new services, and supporting ongoing initiatives. You will be part of a core team, working on impactful projects in a collaborative environment. This initiative requires individuals with strong technical expertise and attention to detail.

• Need to work on Artech w2
• Strong hands‑on experience in backend Java development.
• Solid working knowledge of AWS services, including Fargate, Lambda, Route 53, and related tooling.
• Database experience with Postgre
  
  SQL and MySQL.
• Proven ability to work on large‑scale, enterprise modernization or migration projects.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to adapt to evolving priorities.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working in a team environment.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java in an AWS cloud environment.
• Support system‑to‑system conversions to ensure smooth migration of card portfolios.
• Build new services and maintain existing ones in alignment with internal risk and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver modernization projects on time and with high quality.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and support applications in production as part of ongoing responsibilities.

• Experience with enterprise‑scale modernization initiatives in financial services.

• Interview Process:
  Single round, 45–60 minutes (no coding test).
• Work Location:
  
  Preference for local Chicago candidates who can work onsite in a hybrid model. Remote candidates may be considered if they adhere to Central Time Zone hours.
• Conversion:
  Some roles may be considered for contract‑to‑hire. Candidates requiring visa sponsorship will not be eligible for conversion.
