Senior QA Automation Engineer (Python/Playwright/Azure Test Plans – API Testing)

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to architect and implement our first comprehensive API test automation suite. This role will leverage Python and Playwright, with test case management in Azure Test Plans (Azure Dev Ops). The Senior QA will establish best practices, frameworks, and provide technical leadership, ensuring robust test coverage for our APIs—even where documentation is incomplete.

This is a consultative, hands‑on role with significant influence on our automation strategy and team culture.

• 5+ years of experience in QA automation, with a strong focus on Python and Playwright.
• Proven experience building API test automation suites and integrating with Azure Dev Ops.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure Test Plans, Git, and test case management.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Swagger, Postman, Smart Bear).
• Excellent communication skills (English), able to collaborate with internal teams.
• Ability to mentor and lead junior team members.
• Grit, hustle, and a consultative mindset.

• Experience with UI test automation (e.g., Selenium, Angular‑based applications).
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and integrating automated tests into pipelines.
• Performance tuning and validation experience.
• Experience working in ambiguous environments with incomplete documentation.
