What this job involves
JLL Technologies Enterprise Data team is a newly established central organization that oversees JLL's data strategy. We are seeking data professionals to work with our colleagues at JLL around the globe in providing solutions, developing new products, building enterprise reporting & analytics capability to reshape the business of Commercial Real Estate using the power of data and we are just getting started on that journey!
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Leader to drive the technical execution of our new data platform vision and transform engineering culture within our data organization. This is a critical leadership role responsible for architecting and delivering foundational platform services while establishing engineering excellence standards that will scale across the organization.
As a Sr Manager, Software Engineering at JLL Technologies, you will have below responsibilities:
Technical Leadership & Architecture
Design and deliver Services Architecture for enterprise-scale data platform capabilities

Lead development of Common Search & Create functionalities and standardized CRUD operations

Establish consumption patterns and data governance services that enable organization-wide adoption

Drive architectural decisions that balance immediate delivery needs with long-term scalability requirements

Engineering Culture Transformation
Elevate software engineering practices, standards, delivery velocity, and driving efficiency using AI across the data team

Implement modern Dev Ops practices, AI tools adoption, code quality standards, and sustainable development processes

Mentor senior engineers and establish cross-functional collaboration patterns

Build engineering practices that support platform reliability and organizational growth

Strategic Delivery
Translate business requirements into executable technical roadmaps with clear milestones

Ensure timely delivery of critical platform components while maintaining engineering excellence

Establish reusable services and patterns that accelerate future development initiatives

Drive adoption of platform capabilities across multiple organizational teams

What we are looking for:
8+ years software engineering experience with 3+ years in leadership roles

Strong programming background with expertise in Python, Java, Scala, or similar languages used in software applications

Extensive experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies including Agile, Dev Ops, CI/CD pipelines, and release management

Proven expertise in modern data platform architecture, microservices and distributed systems

Experience with search technologies, API development, data governance frameworks, and service deployment

Track record of transforming engineering organizations and establishing technical excellence in data domains

Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving organizational change initiatives

Knowledge of AI frameworks, cloud services, and readiness to adopt and adapt to new market capabilities

Hands-on experience with version control systems, automated testing frameworks, and production deployment strategies

Hands-on experience with AI technology stack and real estate industry background preferred
