IBMi Development. Must be highly skilled and experienced with IBMi and AS/400 deployments and be able to work with a dynamic team of US and India based developers to meet client requirements for system support and application development.
Create, maintain, and modernize applications on the IBM i (AS/400) platform, using languages like RPG, CL, and SQL, focus on robust, secure, and efficient code, often integrating with modern Dev Ops practices, cloud, and open-source tools to ensure system reliability and meet business needs. Key tasks include analysis, coding (RPGLE, Free Format), testing, deployment, support, and collaborating with teams to enhance the platform's capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Development & Coding:
Write, test, and deploy applications using RPG (SQLRPGLE), CL, SQL, COBOL, and potentially Java.
System Maintenance:
Identify and resolve issues, apply security patches, and ensure application stability.
Modernization:
Transition legacy systems to modern Dev Ops culture, integrating open-source tools and web services.
Testing & Deployment:
Perform unit, regression, and integration testing; assist with deployment and post-deployment support.
Collaboration:

Work within agile teams, communicate with stakeholders, and support helpdesk functions.
Documentation:
Adhere to change control processes and maintain code quality standards.

Skills:

Experience with iSeries Navigator, Integrated File System (IFS).
