Chicago Remote Local Full Time $120k - $170k
A growing AI-focused consulting organization is seeking a Senior Full Stack AI Engineer to join its hybrid team in Chicago or Denver. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to build cutting-edge AI applications using modern technologies including LLMs, Lang Chain, Lang Graph, Python, React, and cloud-native tooling. The company partners with major enterprise organizations to develop and deploy production-ready AI systems that solve meaningful business challenges.
This is not a traditional software engineering role. The organization is looking for engineers who enjoy solving complex business problems, influencing technical strategy, and working directly with customers. Successful candidates will help shape AI initiatives from ideation through deployment while collaborating with highly experienced engineers in a fast-growing environment. This position offers exposure to emerging AI technologies, direct client interaction, technical leadership opportunities, and a strong engineering culture centered around mentorship and continuous learning.
Required Skills & Experience5+ years of professional software engineering experience Full stack development background
Experience with Python, JavaScript, Type Script, Java, or similar languages Experience building or integrating AI/LLM-based systems Knowledge of Lang Chain, Lang Graph, RAG frameworks, or similar tools Strong software architecture and system design skills Client-facing or consulting experience Experience working in Agile environments Excellent communication skills
Desired Skills & Experience Experience deploying AI agents into production React or Next.js expertise Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) TDD and pair programming experience Technical leadership or mentoring experience Enterprise software consulting background
Experience with observability and distributed systems
