Position: Systems Integration Engineer (Capital Markets)

The Systems Integration Engineer role focuses on building and enhancing systems for data integration within the Capital Markets domain. The primary focus of this role is post-trade data aggregation, downstream reporting, reconciliation, and data distribution across front-office, middle-office, back-office, risk, finance, and reporting platforms.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Chicago IL is $120k - $125k/year & benefits (see below).

The

Role Responsibilities:

Design and develop post-trade integration and data processing solutions
Build APIs, messaging integrations, and scalable data pipelines
Collaborate with business, operations, and technology teams
Support production systems, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes
Drive engineering best practices, code quality, and automation

Requirements:

10+ years of experience in Software Engineering
Experience with in Capital Markets / Financial Services
Strong understanding of trade lifecycle and post-trade processing
Experience with trade aggregation, reconciliation, settlement, regulatory reporting, and downstream data distribution
Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, Kubernetes, Docker
Strong SQL and database expertise (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks)
Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, or other messaging platforms
ETL/ELT, Data Pipelines, Data Warehousing, and Data Lake technologies
CI/CD, Dev Ops, Automated Testing, and Cloud technologies (AWS preferred)
Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills

AI/GenAI exposure and experience using Git Hub Copilot or similar AI development tools
Experience with Market Data, Reference Data, or Security Master Data
