This position is located in Chicago, IL. You’ll make an impact by:

Architecting scalable industrial software systems, guiding technical decisions, and ensuring systems meet business and quality requirements

Designing modular system packages and providing clear implementation guidance

Evaluating technology stack capabilities to support replication and scale across different manufacturing environments

Integrating new systems with existing IT and OT landscapes across the full automation pyramid—from control systems up to MES and ERPDriving readiness assessments for scalable deployment, including system and quality testing

Building strong relationships with customers and partners through hands-on and strategic technical leadership

Defining system capabilities in scope and creating technical implementation guides for consistent deployment

Basic Qualifications:

7+ years of experience in software architecture or a similar role
10+ years of overall professional experience

Experience in developing, commissioning, or validating software systems in industrial automation environments

Strong understanding of programming (e.g., Rust, C++) and systems development concepts (e.g., memory and concurrency management), as well as communication protocols (e.g., MQTT, OPC UA)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on mindset

Experience working in cross-functional, customer-facing teams

Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Lean manufacturing principles

Experience with industrial systems such as PLC, SCADA, DCS,…
