Salary: $92, per year
Requirements- 10+ years of experience in mainframe development.
- Hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM.
- Strong SQL and database development experience.
- Experience with batch processing and online transaction processing.
- Ability to interpret business requirements and develop techno-functional solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Additional skills in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, Kafka, Azure, or full-stack Java are preferred.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain COBOL mainframe applications for business processes.
- Design, build, and optimize JCL jobs for batch processing and scheduling.
- Develop and maintain DB2 programs, including SQL queries, data retrieval, and performance tuning.
- Develop and support CICS programs for real-time transaction processing.
- Manage VSAM files for data storage and access.
- Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Debug applications, troubleshoot issues, and identify root causes.
- Improve program and batch-process performance and reliability.
- Participate in testing, deployment, and production support.
- Collaborate with business analysts, technical teams, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare technical documentation and support knowledge transfer.
- Ensure solutions meet enterprise coding and quality standards.
