The Senior Service Now Dev Ops Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting scalable Dev Ops capabilities across the Service Now platform. This role combines deep Service Now Dev Ops development expertise with modern Dev Ops engineering practices to automate software delivery, improve release quality, strengthen platform governance, and enable reliable integrations between Service Now and enterprise development tool chains.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5-years experience as a hands-on senior engineer who can translate complex business and technical requirements into secure, maintainable solutions while partnering with application teams, platform engineering, architecture, security, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities Service Now  Development & Engineering Design, develop, configure, test, and support enterprise solutions on the Service Now platform.

Develop server-side and client-side solutions using JavaScript, Glide APIs, Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Flow Designer, and Integration Hub.

Develop and maintain REST/SOAP APIs, scripted REST services, webhooks, and integration patterns.

Build reusable components and automation while minimizing unnecessary customization and preserving platform upgradeability.

Perform technical troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, defect remediation, and production support.

Dev Ops & Release Engineering Design and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines supporting Service Now development and deployment.

Integrate Service Now with source-control and Dev Ops platforms such as Git Hub, Azure Dev Ops, Git Lab, or Jenkins.

Automate build, testing, validation, change management, deployment, and post-deployment verification activities.

Implement appropriate source-control, branching, code-review, and promotion practices across Service Now environments.

Improve deployment reliability through automated testing, quality gates, rollback/recovery planning, and release controls.

Troubleshoot pipeline, authentication, webhook, token, API, and integration failures.

Platform Governance & Quality Ensure solutions align with Service Now development standards, enterprise architecture, security requirements, and platform governance.

Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to Service Now developers and engineering teams.

Identify technical debt and opportunities to replace custom solutions with appropriate out-of-box platform capabilities.

Participate in upgrade planning, regression testing, release readiness, and platform health activities.

Support secure credential, OAuth, API authentication, and integration patterns.

Technical Leadership Lead technical design discussions and translate business requirements into implementable Service Now solutions.

Mentor developers on Service Now engineering and Dev Ops best practices.

Collaborate across application, infrastructure, security, architecture, operations, and vendor teams.
