Member of Technical Staff

Members of Technical Staff build the Tractorbeam platform. The work sits where AI meets the systems companies already run on: their data, their workflows, and their constraints. Most of it hasn't been built before. You'll own large pieces of the system from design to production and work directly with the founders.

Tractorbeam is an applied AI company in Chicago. We help large companies put AI to work on the things that actually run their business, and we're building the platform that makes it repeatable.

We're a small, senior team. Our customers include some of the largest firms in finance, healthcare and software. Every person we hire shapes how the company works.

• Design and build core platform systems from the ground up
• Solve the hardest parts of making AI work reliably on real company data
• Ship infrastructure that runs securely in the environments our customers trust
• Turn what we learn in the field into product
• Set the engineering bar: testing, evals, observability, and code review

• Have 2+ years shipping production software
• Are strong in Type Script or Python
• Have built data systems, developer platforms, or infrastructure
• Have built with LLMs past the demo stage
