Overview

CENTERS, LLC is a management firm specializing in facility, operation, and program management for higher education. Our approach is customized for each client while maintaining consistent quality. We unite site staff with a centralized administrative team to meet our goals and client needs. The team is innovative, entrepreneurial, and ambitious, providing management services for 14 clients.

Responsibilities

• Safely instruct effective and creative group fitness classes at the Recreation Center
• Provide quality customer service to all participants, regardless of fitness level or appearance
• Communicate effectively with supervisors via phone, email, or in person
• Enforce all program and building policies and procedures, including during emergencies
• Attend all relevant staff meetings
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications
• Primary group exercise certification (ACE, AFAA, ACSM) and specialty certifications for classes like yoga, cycling, Pilates, etc. Preferred to have both; exceptions considered case-by-case
• Leadership and supervisory skills
• Entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm
• Ability to work independently
• Knowledge of recreational sports practices
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a high-expectations, accountable environment that values balanced lifestyles

• Proficiency with audio/visual equipment

Human Relations

Contacts include staff at all levels and external customers/vendors. Responsibilities involve troubleshooting, informing, negotiating, and instructing.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Office/fitness center environment
• Moderate to loud noise levels
• Evening or weekend work as needed

• Standing or walking at least 50% of the day
• Bending and stooping as required
• Hearing and talking
