Make Waves in Water Fitness – McCormick YMCA is now hiring Water Fitness Instructors!

In this role, you will lead engaging and personalized water fitness classes, create progressive exercise plans, and ensure the safety and well‑being of all participants. Salary starts at $20.00 per hour plus a fitness pay plan and opportunities to grow within the organization.

• Lead water fitness classes with a personalized approach
• Prepare progressive exercise plans for program participants
• Give clear explanations of safe exercises and demonstrate correct form and provide safe alternate exercises
• Set up facility or equipment
• In case of injury, accident, or illness in pool area and provide backup to lifeguards as needed in emergencies
• Report injuries and complete required procedures
• Maintain current certifications
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Must have current Water Fitness certification
• Must be physically and mentally able to respond to emergencies and administer CPR and First Aid effectively

• Following all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to the monitoring and supervision of children
