Midtown is looking for year‑round Aquatics Instructors to add to our first‑class organization. Pay rate starts at $22.50–$24.50.

As an integral part of the Aquatics Team, our Aquatics Coaches inspire members through movement, community, and personal attention. They encourage active, social, and healthier lives by demonstrating sound leadership, professionalism, resilience, and optimism; developing and maintaining aquatics areas to promote an enjoyable experience; preparing and executing lesson plans based on curriculum for infant, preschool, and youth levels; evaluating swimmers to ensure proper progression of skill sets;

developing and maintaining positive relationships with students and families; and promoting and providing private lessons.

• Demonstrate sound leadership, professionalism, resilience, and optimism.
• Develop and maintain aquatics areas to promote an enjoyable experience.
• Prepare and execute lesson plans based on curriculum for infant, preschool, and youth levels.
• Evaluate swimmers to ensure proper progression of skill set.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with students and families.
• Promote and provide private lessons.

• Minimum 2 years teaching experience with a recognized swim program or 4 years competitive swimming experience and passion for working with children.
• Possess current lifeguard or water safety instructor certifications (American Red Cross preferred).
• Possess ability to provide multisensory instruction: auditory, visual, tactile, kinesthetic.
• Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver information kindly, clearly, concisely, and timely.
• Group lesson times are Monday – Friday 3:45–6:30 pm and Saturday & Sunday 9:00–1:00 pm.
