Aquatics Director

Consistent with the mission and vision of the YMCA of Hannibal, the Aquatics Director is responsible for developing, organizing, and implementing high-quality aquatics programs. The current aquatics program includes swim lessons, water safety, lifeguarding classes, water aerobics and works closely with Hannibal Hurricanes Swim Team.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.

• Minimum two (2) years of experience supervising Lifeguards and Swim Instructors.

• Must be at least 21 years old.

• Certified Swim Instructor

• Certified Lefeguard, Principles of Aquatics Leadership preferred

• Current Basic Life Support (CPRO), First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen certifications.

• Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

• Certifications to attain within 180 days of hire: CPO, YMCA Pool Operator or equivalent and YMCA Aquatics Management.

• Certifications to attain within 1 year of hire: YMCA Introduction to Fiscal Management, YMCA Lifeguard Instructor, and YMCA Supervision.
