Equipment Cleaning Technician

Chicago, IL (Joliet)

Pay Range: $20.43 - $30.76

Shift: 2nd

• Safely and effectively prepare, clean, and inspect tank trailers and ISO’s, including vents, valves, clean‑out caps, clamps, loading/unloading lines, hoses, and other equipment per standard tank cleaning procedures.
• Operate atmospheric testing equipment and understand the use and care of rescue equipment for confined‑space rescue.
• Complete paperwork for confined‑space entry, shipping and receiving of cleaned units, and operate facility software for TW tickets, billing, safety, etc.
• Maintain an environment of cleanliness and safety within the wash facility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all HTC Safety, Health, Environmental and Security Policy and Programs.
• Comply with all Department of Transportation regulations.
• Comply with all applicable OSHA and EPA regulations.
• Comply with all applicable state and local environmental regulations.

• 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred but not required.

• Ability to speak, read, and understand English, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS) chemical information.
• Ability to operate a yard truck to move equipment.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to use business‑related software.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Mechanical ability and inclination.

• Normal environment is outdoors.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must push/pull up to 50–100 lbs.
• Confined‑space entry is required.
• Must wear proper PPE.
