Job Description

Support railroad flagging services for Class 1 Railroads, Regional Short Lines, Transit Systems, State DOTs, and related contractors and consultants.

Required Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Required Experience

Minimum 2 years with a Class 1 Railroad or related organization. Preferably experience in the Maintenance Of Way Department.

Job Requirements
  • Proficient computer skills (email, phone, text, Android OS, Citrix)

  • Technical knowledge in Railroad Engineering, Design, Construction, and Safety

  • Ability to travel extended periods, including months at a time
  • Successful completion of all required training
Job Duties
  • Provide jobsite coordination
  • Maintain clear communication with dispatchers, train crews, other personnel, and contractors
  • Deliver thorough job briefings at each site
  • Enforce all railroad, state, and federal policies
  • Identify and resolve rule violations according to regulations
  • Enforce contractor training requirements
  • Submit daily field reports detailing activities
  • Provide on-track safety under 49 CFR 214
