Dispatch Supervisor
Transdev in Melrose Park, IL is hiring a Dispatch Supervisor. Our Dispatch Supervisor ensures the Dispatch team fills all the routes and provides Operators with timely instructions and responses. We are seeking customer service‑oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.
LocationThis position is located in Melrose Park, IL.
CompensationNon-CBA Position:
Competitive compensation package of minimum $25.00 – Maximum $27.00.
- Vacation: up to two (2) weeks
- Sick days: 5 days
- Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 2 floating
- Other standard benefits: 401(k), medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, voluntary long‑term disability

Key Responsibilities- Oversee and assist road service and trip performance measures, i.e. route start time, on‑time performance, incidents, oversee dispatch performance
- Respond to customer questions and concerns about no shows, cancellations, and missed trips
- Manage vehicle operator emergency situations & escalated calls
- Supervise staff on weekends and evenings
- Manage department reports and other communication tools
- Train new employees
- Other duties as required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 2–3 years of transit supervisory experience preferred
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed
- Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason
- Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions—100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations
- Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
- Push and pull objects up to XX pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
- Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise
