- Counting, weighing or measuring items of incoming shipments
- Verifying information against invoices, orders, bills of lading or other records
- Examining and unpacking incoming shipments
- Recording shortages and rejecting damaged items
- Routing items to various departments
- Ensuring incoming shipments meet specifications
- Checking in inbound inventory and administering the processing
- Tracing and tracking shipments to ensure timely delivery
- Monitoring the returns process
- Sorting, counting, identifying, verifying and tracking all material
- Verifying receipts and logging them according to required procedures
- Investigating and resolving situations where items received are not properly documented
- Entering inventory data into the system on a timely basis
- Cooperating with representatives from other departments
- Performing regular material warehouse audits
- Advising management of cycle count issues
- Ensuring all documents and material received are of satisfactory quality
- Ability to calculate mathematical values
- Working knowledge of software usage, order processing systems, inventory software and word processing software
