Logistics Coordinator

Talascend is currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator for a contract opportunity with our client in Chickasaw, Alabama
.

Overview

The role involves enhancing product workflow by analyzing and developing logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory. It includes creating and reviewing procedures for distribution and inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of all transportation modes: sea, air, road and rail, LCL, FCL, & special equipment.
• Compliance with hazardous shipping regulation under IATA, IMDG and DOT.
• Compliance with U.S. export regulation and specific country requirements of each destination.
• Preparation of international documentation for clearance of goods such as shipping/customs invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, Free Trade Agreements, inland bills of lading, certificates of analysis, and other documents required.
• Preparations of international documentation for export such as export declaration, shippers letter of instructions and other export documents required.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills.
• Strong team player and collaboration with other functions.
• Ability to prioritize with a sense of urgency.
• Comfortable presenting in front of senior leadership.
• Responsiveness and accountability.
• Able to respond timely and make decisions in circumstances of uncertainty.
• Enhances product workflow by analyzing and developing logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory.
• Creates and reviews procedures for distribution and inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost.

Qualifications

• May require an associate's degree or equivalent and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Requirements

• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Works under immediate supervision.
• Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
• Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Shift

Hybrid role - 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
