WASH BAY TECHNICIAN

The Wash Bay Technician is responsible for washing, cleaning, rinsing and polishing Cimarron's custom trailers, parts that are shipped out and Cimarron vehicles as needed using approved chemicals, water and pressure washers. The Wash Bay Tech also completes final washes of trailers prior to them being shipped to the customer. Come see why Cimarron Trailers is the best in our industry!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform and complete all operations inside Wash Bay by following established and approved processes and procedures accurately and safely
  • Clean, wash and polish the inside and outside of all trailers thoroughly as required, component parts or other company vehicles as assigned using approved chemicals, water and pressure washer or other cleaning materials
  • Ensure product moves through Wash Bay in an efficient and effective manner
  • Monitor equipment to ensure that equipment is in proper working order
  • Inspect and observe trailers for leaks, streaks, spots, stains, missing welds, damage and overall quality
  • Assist Trim Shop with final detail and small repairs
  • Ensure that quality standards are met, consistently maintained at a high level and work is completed within the production deadline
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area
  • Float to other departments at any time as needed by the Company
  • Follow all policies and procedures as directed by Cimarron Trailers
  • Regular attendance is a critical function of this job
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills with Supervisors and team.
  • Able to work effectively with your team and other teams.
  • Must be familiar with product construction and application.
  • Must be organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and or priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Physical Demands:

  • Able to stand and walk around the facility for prolonged periods of time, including up to an entire 9 hour shift as well as any required overtime.
  • Able to stoop, bend, twist, squat, and kneel during the course of the day
  • Able to use hands and arms to repetitively grip, twist, squeeze and otherwise use tools such as wash/spraying equipment, pneumatic and electric hand tools and other hand tools throughout the 8 hour shift as well as any required overtime
  • Frequent and repetitive lifting of up to 25 lbs. throughout shift and occasional lifting of items up to 50 lbs. individually throughout the shift. Anything over 50 lbs. is team-lifted.
  • Able to safely and effectively handle necessary tools required to perform the essential functions of the position.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Chemical protective suit at all times while working with chemicals
  • Safety Glasses
  • Safety Shoes at all times

Work Environment:

  • Combination of plant and outdoor environment.
  • Exposed to any number of elements, extreme heat & cold, working in and out of doors between buildings
