Accountant - Finance Exempt

Position Overview

Enloe Health is a Level II Trauma Center in Northern California. The Accountant reports to the Controller and supports daily accounting functions in the Finance & Business Analysis department.

• Prepare journal entries and assist in the monthly account closing process.
• Analyze accounts and prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Reconcile assigned balance sheet reconciliations and complete general ledger account reconciliations to subsidiary ledgers.
• Assist with the annual financial audit and various accounting projects.
• Support management with additional financial reporting and analysis.
• Prioritize work to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Maintain data integrity and work independently with minimal supervision.

• Minimum:
  Bachelor’s degree in Business with an accounting or finance specialization.
• Desired:
  Hospital accounting experience.
• Two years of diversified accounting experience preferred.
