Cardiac Compensation range: $21.82 - $29.45. Your rate of pay will be based on applicable experience.
Shift: Days;
Shift length: 8 Hours;
Days off:
Fixed (Saturday & Sunday);
Hours per pay period: 80.
The Department Assistant provides secretarial and administrative support to leadership and the department. The assistant creates a friendly, cooperative impression throughout all interactions with internal and external customers, works independently to prioritize and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment, and maintains an orderly work environment that supports the smooth operation of the department. Responsibilities include relieving leadership of clerical matters such as mail distribution, reception, filing, and preserving confidentiality.
The assistant attends assigned meetings, records meeting minutes, distributes minutes, inputs schedules, and assists with timecard management.
- Minimum:
Three years working in an office environment performing general clerical duties, including experience utilizing computers and Microsoft Office programs. - Desired:

Data research and report composition skills. - Desired:
Basic internet use.

- Excellent analytical, grammatical, punctuation, spelling, and formatting skills for effective verbal and written communication.
- Ability to make independent decisions within established guidelines regarding organization and scheduling of work.
- Strong organizational and multi‑tasking skills.
- Capability to follow instructions, maintain confidentiality, and work quickly and accurately in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Experience taking and transcribing accurate minutes.
- Skilled at organizing and coordinating meetings, conferences, conference calls, and multiple schedules.
- Ability to compile data into a usable report format.
- Desirable knowledge of desktop publishing for reports, documents, and brochures.
