California State University (CSU), Chico is a comprehensive and residential public university. The role is designed to support the Admissions Department by processing student applications for admission, maintaining compliance, managing student records, and determining admission status. The Admissions Coordinator assists in enhancing the prospective student’s experience and provides student-centered service by contributing to an atmosphere that is welcoming and helpful.
Responsibilities- Process and evaluate student applications for admission.
- Maintain and update applicant data in People Soft or similar systems.
- Ensure compliance with admissions policies and maintain accurate student records.
- Provide confidential and secure handling of applicant information.
- Offer student-centered support, contributing to a welcoming and helpful environment.
Functional knowledge of standard office procedures and practices, ability to understand and operate in a variety of organizational structures. Typically obtained through completion of a high school program, technical/vocational program, or equivalent combined with three years of related office work experience.
Preferences- General knowledge of applicant data maintenance in People Soft or similar software.
- Basic knowledge of Perceptive Content (Admissions paperless processing system) or similar software.
- Experience providing office support in a higher education environment.
- Experience working with and maintaining the integrity of confidential information and materials.
Time Base: Full-time
Pay Plan: 12/12
CSU Classification Salary Range: $48,564 (Step
1) - $70,752 (Step 20) per year.
