Department Summary:

Working independently, under general supervision, the Administrative Support Coordinator I position will provide comprehensive administrative coordination supporting the effective day-to-day operation where the help is needed in the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences. The position independently oversees and coordinates multiple functions, including, but not limited to: scheduling, budgets, purchasing, records, communications, events, and student and faculty support, while applying policies and procedures, exercising sound judgment, resolving routine problems, and serving as a key point of contact among students, faculty, staff, and other campus offices.

Required

Education and Experience:

This position requires fully functional knowledge of and skill in standard office procedures and practices, as well as an ability to understand and operate in a variety of organizational structures. These qualifications, and those listed above, would normally be obtained through completion of a high school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents combined with three years of related office work experience.

Preferences:

Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills:

  • Experience providing administrative support in a complex organization, preferably in higher education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with administrative systems and technology.

Time Base:
Full-time

Pay Plan: 11/12 (July off)

Work Schedule:

Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Summer:
Mon-Thurs 7:00am-5:30pm

CSU Classification Salary Range: $44,520 (Step
1) - $64,860 (Step 20) per year.
