Client Service Representative

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors, answer telephones, and guide clients and their pets to exam rooms.
• Schedule and confirm appointments.
• Place outbound calls for follow-ups and contact prospective clients.
• Present and explain fees, including processing payments.
• Recommend, select, and obtain products and services, including prescriptions.
• Answer questions about products and services and educate clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (e.g., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, flea & tick control).
• Manage medical records, charts, reports, and correspondence.

• At least one year of proven customer service experience.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Compassion for pets and people, and awareness of others’ reactions.
• Proven decision-making skills to choose the most appropriate course of action.
• Ability to incorporate new information into problem solving.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and tolerate exposures associated with pets such as allergies, diseases, noises, odors, bites, scratches, and animal waste.
