The Assistant Customer Service Representative is assigned to the Administration Division and works under the direction of the Administrative Coordinator. This is the front-line face of CARD, providing receptionist, customer service, and clerical support. This position will respond to a high volume of requests for information on District services, policies, and procedures at a public counter, by telephone, and by email, while also performing cashiering duties and general office support.
Bilingual ability in English and Spanish is desirable and may be considered an asset in serving CARD's diverse community.
Key Responsibilities- Frontline customer service: Serving as the primary point of contact at the public counter by responding to a high volume of calls, walk‑ins, and emails; and providing accurate, informative answers to questions about District programs and policies.
- Registration and cashiering: Processing program registrations, collecting payments, and assisting with related accounting functions.
- Reception and triage: Screening and directing incoming calls, recording messages, addressing customer complaints, and ensuring individuals are connected with the appropriate contact.
- Someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, manages frequent interruptions with ease, and can shift between tasks without missing a beat.
- Detail‑oriented and precise, especially when handling payments, registrations, and records where accuracy is critical.
- A clear and professional communicator, both in person and in writing.

Monday through Friday, 1:00pm - 5:00pm or 2:00pm - 6:00pm
