- Lecturer D/5 – $8,593 – $15,211 per month

Position SummaryThe Mathematics and Statistics Department in the College of Natural Sciences is collecting application materials for a pool of lecturers with positions available as determined by need during the 2026-27 academic year. Courses in need of coverage typically include supported classes (college algebra, finite math for business, introduction to statistics), hybrid classes (introduction to statistics, finite math for business), trigonometry, precalculus, and occasionally include calculus, linear algebra, differential equations.
Appointments from the lecturer pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term.
The minimum education requirement for a lecturer appointment is an MA or MS in Mathematics or a related field.
Preferred QualificationsPreferred qualifications include a PhD or previous teaching experience.
ResponsibilitiesLecturer positions in the department carry responsibilities in the areas of teaching lower division undergraduate courses. Teaching assignments are based upon qualifications of the individual and the needs of the department.
