Compensation Range: $18.35 - $24.78. Your rate of pay will be based on applicable experience.
Shift: Days, 8-hour shift. Days off:
Fixed – Saturday and Sunday. Hours per pay period: up to 47.
Travel is required to other Enloe sites as needed for meetings and classes.
Position SummaryThe Information Services Epic Training Intern will provide customer support and service for Epic training, accurately record issues and resolutions in the IS ticketing system, learn Epic module functionality, and deliver in-classroom instruction.
Duties include leading instruction and competency testing, providing tutorial or special audience training, and assisting with go‑live support during project activation. The intern will schedule training rooms, develop and maintain training materials, and participate in the creation of online eLearning content.
This position requires successful completion of the Epic credentialing process, which includes a 3-4 week training program on the assigned application role(s), teach‑back methodology, a teaching presentation to a panel, and a credentialing exam.
Minimum Qualifications- Currently enrolled in a two- or four-year program in IT, Education, or a healthcare-related field.
- Experience participating in software implementations and training program design.
- Experience in a health‑care related environment and providing training with an Electronic Health Record (EHR) preferred.
- Experience in providing technical or customer support.
Ability to learn Epic module functionality and obtain credentialed status. Understand and document end‑user workflows, business and clinical processes. Create and maintain educational and eLearning content. Knowledge of IT project management fundamentals. Organize, prioritize and complete assigned work. Participate in project meetings. Deliver training to large groups and one‑on‑one sessions. Strong communication skills with diverse users. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and other desktop applications.
Review and critique curricula and training materials. Present technical information effectively verbally and in writing. Translate customer needs to learning objectives and devise training solutions. Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
