Position SummaryThe Department of Biological Sciences is collecting application materials for a pool of lecturers for the 2026-27 academic year. Areas of need include cellular and molecular biology; ecology evolution and organismal biology; and microbiology. Appointments from the lecturer pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term.
Minimum Qualifications- For lower‑division laboratory, activity, and discussion courses:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology or related field; demonstration of currency through professional activity. - For all other courses:
Master’s degree or Doctorate (or recognized equivalent) in Biology or related field; demonstration of currency through professional activity.
Lecturer positions involve teaching lower and upper level undergraduate courses. Teaching assignments are based on individual qualifications and departmental needs.
