Position Summary:

Entry-level position as a member of a child development center parent/staff team which provides appropriate early childhood experiences for children.

• Assists teachers in the implementation of center and classroom activities.
• Ensures a safe, healthy, supervised environment for young children.
• Participates, along with other staff members, in the daily cleaning and maintenance of the center.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding client and personnel issues, information, and records.

• High school diploma, G.E.D. or begin/continue enrollment in Early Childhood Education coursework.
• Previous experience with young children is strongly preferred.
• Enrolled in ECE coursework preferred.

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions.
• Bilingual, biliterate (English/Spanish, English/Punjabi), and/or other language ability is desired. May be required, based on program needs.
• Possession of a valid California driver license; current personal vehicle insurance or safe driving record sufficient to ensure insurability through Agency policy.
• State regulations require a physical examination, current immunizations for MMR and Tdap, tuberculosis test, and verified fingerprint and criminal record clearance before beginning work.
