Position OverviewTenure‑Track Assistant Professor – Psychology Department, Behavioral and Social Sciences College.
Start date:
Fall 2027. Salary: $74,652 – $89,772 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
Applicants must have completed a 3‑year Master’s or Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in School Psychology, or a doctorate in psychology, education, or a related field. Candidates nearing completion of a doctorate may be considered; all requirements for conferral of the doctorate must be met by the start date.
- Master’s or Ed.S.
- Current California credentialing/licensing as a School Psychologist, Psychologist, or Licensed Educational Psychologist.
- Three years of professional experience as a School Psychologist in preK‑12 schools.
- Experience delivering undergraduate or graduate instruction or professional development.
- A record and/or plan for research and scholarly activities.
- Doctorate
- CA credentialing/licensing, or intention to obtain it, as a School Psychologist, Psychologist, or Licensed Educational Psychologist; must be achieved by end of third year to continue employment.
- Experience delivering undergraduate or graduate instruction or professional development.
- A record and/or plan for research and scholarly activities.
- Train and supervise school psychology graduate students.
- Develop and conduct research or scholarly activity, and seek external funding.
- Provide service support for the administrative and advising needs of the School Psychology program.
- Teach courses based on qualifications and departmental needs.
