The Position: Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Finance

Salary: Salary commensurate with education and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:
The minimum educational requirement for appointment to this position is a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or DBA) in Finance from an AACSB-accredited program. Applicants who are ABD will be considered if all degree requirements are expected to be completed by the start date. Candidates must demonstrate the potential for effective teaching and research leading to publication in refereed journals in the finance area.
Responsibilities:
This tenure-track position carries responsibilities in teaching, scholarship, and service. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate finance courses aligned with the candidate's expertise and departmental needs. The candidate is expected to maintain an active research agenda, leading to publications in high-quality refereed journals, and to engage in scholarly activities consistent with AACSB standards. Service responsibilities include contributing to department, college, and university governance through committee work;
advising and mentoring students; supporting student organizations and experiential learning activities; and participating in professional and community service.

The Department of Information Systems, Finance, and Accounting (ISFA) is the largest academic department in the College of Business at California State University, Chico. The department offers innovative undergraduate and graduate programs in finance, accounting, business analytics, information systems, and operations and supply chain management.
