A minimum of 400 hours of paid and/or non-paid experience in an early learning program which includes:
- Facilitating teacher and child directed experiences
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
- Maintaining supportive relationships with families
- Knowledge of health and safety practices in a child care setting
- Ability to plan and implement developmentally appropriate experiences
- Completion of 12 college units in child development or early childhood education (Associate Teacher Permit); or completion of 9 units in child development or early childhood education with 3 units to be completed within 6 months of hire. Proof of enrollment may be required prior to hire.
The Associated Students of California State University, Chico is recruiting for a part-time Early Childhood Education Teacher at the Child Development Lab. This part-time position offers limited benefits and will work no more than 29 hours per week, 960 hours per fiscal year during the academic calendar year. The starting pay range is $21.23 - $21.40/hour with no other benefits. New hires typically start at the base of the starting pay range.
The anticipated schedule is to be determined based on the classroom need, but will include hours Monday through Friday during the academic year. The schedule is subject to change based on operational needs.

The Associated Students (AS) is a comprehensive campus auxiliary corporation of CSU,Chico serving thousands of students, faculty, staff and community members through myriad student programs, services and business enterprises.
