Salary commensurate with education and experience. (Anticipated hiring range:$88, per year).

Minimum Qualifications:
The minimum education requirement for appointment to this position is a DVM (must earn licensure in California within 12 months of position start date) or PhD in related field. Candidates nearing completion of the terminal degree may be considered; however, all requirements for conferral of the degree must be met no later than the start date of the position.
Responsibilities:
This tenure-track position carries responsibilities in the areas of undergraduate teaching, scholarship (dissemination, grants, etc.), and service (student advising, committee service etc.). This tenure-track appointment involves teaching 12 weighted teaching units per semester, with 3 WTU release for the first two years. Instruction may be in veterinary practices, herd health and immunology, animal welfare, livestock and companion animal behavior, dependent on successful candidate’s skill set.
Additional responsibilities for the tenure-track appointment includes advising undergraduate students, particularly those majoring in Animal Science with an option in Pre-Veterinary Science, as well as basic service on committees for the college and/or university. Successful candidates are expected to develop intradisciplinary scholarly activities that support the mission of our College and University.
The College and Program:
The College of Agriculture includes 18 full-time tenured/tenure track faculty, 16 full or part-time lecturers, and approximately 825 undergraduate students. The college offers programs leading to Bachelor of Science degrees in Agricultural Science (options in Agricultural Science and Education and Agricultural Communications and Leadership), Agricultural Business, Animal Science (options in Food Animal Production and Pre-Veterinary Science), and Plant and Soil Sciences (options in Crops and Horticulture and Regenerative Agriculture).The
