Senior Civil Engineer ut the role

- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop project specifications, budgets, and timelines.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine project viability and compliance with local regulations.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings and specifications using advanced design software.
- Review and approve project plans and designs, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
- Manage project schedules and resources, ensuring timely completion of milestones and deliverables.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to facilitate project approvals and resolve any issues that arise.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and interns, fostering a culture of learning and development within the team.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulations to ensure the company remains competitive and compliant.
- Prepare and present technical reports and proposals to stakeholders, effectively communicating complex engineering concepts.
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on progress, challenges, and solutions to ensure transparency and alignment.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and methodologies within the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, with a focus on infrastructure projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required; additional certifications are advantageous.
- Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations governing civil engineering projects.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Experience with sustainable design practices and green building standards.
- Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and their application in civil engineering.
- Knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within an engineering firm.
- Membership in professional organizations such as ASCE or similar.
- Civil engineering design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D)
- Project management tools (Microsoft Project, Trello, or similar)
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- GIS software (ArcGIS or similar)
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- This position is based in Chico, California, and may require occasional travel to project sites.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is available for qualified individuals.
