City of Chico is seeking candidates for eligibility to attend the January 2027 Butte College Law Enforcement Academy. Trainees will undergo a rigorous academy January–June 2027 and may be sponsored based on budgeting. Upon successful completion, individuals will advance to probationary Police Officer status.
The recruitment includes POST-based testing (PELLETB) or submission of a valid T-score. A comprehensive physical agility process is required, with exemptions possible for recent participants.
