Caregiver - Chico, CA

Overview

Caregiver opportunities at Merakey in Chico, CA. We are seeking Caregivers and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team at our program in Chico, CA. Earn $17.50 per hour, plus a $2 per hour night shift differential if working overnight.

Our Caregivers/DSPs interact with individuals with developmental disabilities in a variety of settings, including community, family or individual homes. The DSP will assist with direct care as well as implementation of behavior plans, helping to train individuals in personal care, communication, and social skill development to enhance health, safety, dignity and contentment.

• Provide full personal care and support to clients who live in the group home
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal hygiene needs including toileting and incontinence care, bathing, dressing, and grooming, while maintaining dignity and privacy
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

• Experience with Activities of Daily Living (ADL's) preferred
• Must be at least 18 years old
• High School Diploma/G.E.D. preferred
