The EEG Technician performs standard EEGs in all settings.

Desired:
Two years of hospital experience performing standard EEGs.

Minimum:
Current CPR certification;
Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R. EEG T.) (within one year of hire).

Must have the ability to learn to perform standard wake, drowsy and sleep EEG tests with general supervision; the ability to learn to perform complex EEGs including extended and continuous EEGs with and without video, mini-sphenoidals and evoked potentials; the tech must have the ability to perform patient scheduling and charge entry; must demonstrate technical competence, professional judgment, communication skills and sensitivity for the patient and family in crisis;

must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
