Salary & Benefits

$50.48 - $65.62 per hour. Complete package of fringe benefits including Vacation and Sick Leave, Health Insurance, 17 paid Holidays, and CalPERS Retirement. Travel allowance for field work.

Job Synopsis & Qualifications Summary

A professional position providing psychological services, emphasizing testing and assessment of persons with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychological evaluations to determine program eligibility, establish differential diagnoses, identify opportunities for intervention and determine client therapeutic needs.
  • Administer and interpret psychological tests and assessment instruments to evaluate developmental status, intelligence, motor and language skills, perceptual/sensory capabilities, memory, abstract thinking and related characteristics.
  • Prepare psychological reports; consult with consumers/families regarding psychological assessments.
  • Review behavioral assessments; consult with regional center staff, care providers, schools and community agencies.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary and eligibility review processes as directed.
  • May conduct court‑ordered psychological evaluations and provide expert testimony.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Doctorate in clinical, developmental, educational or pediatric psychology.
  • Two years of experience working with special populations.
  • Licensure as a psychologist by the California State Board of Psychology.
  • Must demonstrate fluency in English and Spanish to qualify for bilingual compensation (ability to speak, read, and write).
