The HR & Payroll Administrator supports both Human Resources and Accounting by ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant administration of payroll, benefits, and employee records. This role is essential to supporting our employees and maintaining data integrity across the organization.
You’ll work closely with the HR Manager and Controller in a fast-paced, professional environment where attention to detail, confidentiality, and teamwork matter every day.
Responsibilities | What You’ll Do Payroll & Timekeeping- Process payroll accurately and on schedule
- Maintain employee pay rates, deductions, and tax data
- Review and audit timecards; resolve discrepancies
- Prepare payroll reports and assist with reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with wage and hour regulations
- Administer medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement benefits
- Process benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations
- Serve as a point of contact for employee benefit questions
- Coordinate with benefit vendors and brokers
- Reconcile benefit invoices and ensure timely payment
- Maintain complete and accurate employee personnel files
- Process new hire onboarding and employment documentation
- Track employee status changes, leaves of absence, and terminations
- Ensure compliance with I-9s, W-4s, and required acknowledgements
- Maintain data accuracy in HRIS and payroll systems
- Generate payroll, benefits, and headcount reports
- Assist with audits, regulatory reporting, and process improvements
- Provide administrative support to the HR Manager
- Assist with HR projects and compliance tracking
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee information
- Prior experience processing payroll
- Experience administering employee benefits
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
- Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Experience supporting payroll-related accounting entries
- Familiarity with workers’ compensation or unemployment documentation
- Experience in a multi-location or growing organization
