Butte Hospice is seeking volunteers to help us in our mission to support local families at a time when they need help the most. Hospice volunteers provide breaks for families, provide companionship, and even help with light household chores. Hospice volunteers are a vital part of our team. Volunteers are also needed in our Chico office, for those who may not want to work directly with families and patients

Qualifications:

• Must love serving the senior population
• Intentions of a year or more commitment for regular volunteers (students may have semester agreements)
• Must have emotional maturity, sensitivity, listening skills, successful incorporation of losses in own life, and ability to accept people as they are.
• Willing to commit roughly 2 hours per week and attend quarterly meetings.
