Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) position in California, requiring a CA RN license and a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience.

• 30-bed Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) in an acute care hospital setting
• Medium to high acuity patient population ranging from young adults to geriatric patients
• Patient diagnoses include cardiac conditions, pre/post CABG, carotid endarterectomy, acute MI, post-pacemaker insertion, arrhythmia, CHF, and pneumonia
• Patient-to-nurse ratio does not exceed 1:4
• Epic EMR — experience required
• 12-hour day shifts with a 0700 start time
• Floating to other units, including Med/Surg, required as needed
• 13-week contract
• Provides medical, pre-operative, and post-operative surgical care to medium-to-high acuity cardiovascular patients
• Nurses must be prepared to manage patients who are stable but have a high potential of becoming unstable and have complex co-morbidities

• Active California (CA) RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must be a W-2 employee of the placing agency
