About the Position

Travel Nurse Source is working with United Health Care Staffing, Inc. to find a qualified Operating Room RN in Chico, California.

    Day shift, 6:30 AM start; 8-hour or 10-hour shift option
  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Pay Rate: $77 per hour
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in the Main OR
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to optimize patient outcomes
  • Float to outpatient surgery when needed to support smooth workflow and patient throughput
  • Follow Level II trauma protocols and respond effectively in urgent situations
  • Perform accurate, timely documentation and handoffs in the patient record
  • Maintain sterile technique and assist with surgical instrumentation and setup
  • Coach and educate patients and families on perioperative expectations and recovery
Qualifications
  • Current California RN license required
  • CPR recognition required
  • ACLS recognition required
  • PALS recognition required
  • At least two years of perioperative nursing experience required
  • CNOR certification preferred
Knowledge & Skills
  • Perioperative nursing practices and sterile technique
  • Main OR workflows and surgical instrumentation
  • Experience supporting outpatient surgery when called upon
  • Comfort working in a Level II trauma facility environment
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records and perioperative documentation
