Merchandiser Compensation Pay Range
$16.90 - $24.90 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums that may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
EssentialJob Functions
- Greet customers on sales floor, assist them in locating merchandise, or direct them to parts specialists.
- Check out customers purchasing front floor merchandise quickly and courteously.
- Handle merchandise returns promptly and efficiently.
- Assist customers in express lane or busy counter situations by completing tickets, processing payments, and handling checks and credit cards.
- Stock merchandise according to planograms or displays, keeping the front area stocked and fronted.
- Maintain the display floor fronted, full, and clean on a daily basis.
- Make display changes according to company guidelines, planograms, etc.; update price tags; ensure sale signs, flyers, and sale merchandise are properly displayed.
- Remove sale material and restore original pricing after sale ends.
- Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
- Work with manager to complete store To Do List and Team Weekly tasks.
- Act as the main shoplifting deterrent and front floor security.
- Assist with O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities.
- Clock in/out according to company policy.
- Assist with cashier duties when needed.
- Required: Good aptitude for working with numbers; strong interpersonal communication skills; strong organizational skills.
- Desired: Previous cashier and/or stocking experience; ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle; fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
