Lead Security Officer Temporary, PMs

Compensation Range

$24.08 - $32.51 per hour

Shift: PMs (Prime Time). Days off: variable. Hours per pay period: 80. Shift length: 10 hours.

Lead Security Officer (LSO) performs general security work in the protection of persons, property, and enforcement of all applicable policies, rules, and regulations of Enloe Medical Center and applicable federal, state, and local laws to prevent losses due to accidents and incidents.

The LSO provides day‑to‑day supervision in the Security department to include Security Officers and any contracted security service officers. The LSO assists the Security Manager by making recommendations for staffing, scheduling, equipment, supplies, and physical facilities. The LSO participates in interviews and recommends final selection of new employees. The LSO assists with new employee orientation, scheduling, training, and evaluations according to policies and procedures.

The LSO provides input on policies, procedures, and assists in overseeing the entire security program.

Oversee 24‑hour security coverage for multiple sites. Supervise security personnel and contracted officers. Maintain accurate reports, performance evaluations, and documentation. Respond to emergency situations calmly and effectively. Lead, motivate, delegate, analyze information, and problem‑solve. Demonstrate professional judgment and uphold Enloe Medical Center core values.

• Previous experience as a law enforcement officer or armed security officer carrying firearms or Tasers, with no past disciplinary actions for Use of Force violations; OR current Enloe Security Officer for at least three years.
• Valid California Driver’s License.
• Eligible to be insured under the Medical Center’s Liability Policy with DMV Report (minimum age 21).
• Current California State Consumer Affairs Guard Card.
• Current Healthcare CPR certification.

• College level courses in law enforcement, security, or related field, or completion of basic law enforcement training.
• Supervisory or leadership experience in security, law enforcement, or related field.
• Hospital experience.

• Supervision of 24‑hour security coverage; creation of concise, accurate reports.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
• Timely completion of reports, evaluations, and required documentation.
• Effective emergency response and problem‑solving.
• Professional judgment, reflective of Enloe Medical Center core values.
• Ability to fulfill essential functions of the position.
